FG begins civil service recruitment, lists 70 positions

The Federal Government has announced the commencement of recruitment into the Federal Civil Service, with 70 different positions listed as available. This was made known in an advertorial on Monday, signed by the Director of Recruitment and Appointment, Ogaba Ede.

The positions include Administrative Officer, Planning Officer, Programme Analyst, Procurement Officer, Senior Computer Engineer, Dentist, Population Programme Officer, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Education Officers, and Senior Youth Development Officer. Others include Fisheries Officer, Animal Health and Technologist, Sports Officer, State Counsel, Nursing Officer, Radiographer, Dietician, Dental Therapist, Auditor, Cultural Officer, Printing Officer, Tourism Officer, Psychologist, Biomedical Engineer, Surveyor, Aerodrome Engineer, Geologist, Statistician, Foreign Affairs Officer, and many more.

The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), through a statement issued by its Head of Press and Public Relations, Taiwo Hassan, disclosed that interested and qualified Nigerians can apply via the official recruitment portal: https://recruitment.fedcivilservice.gov.ng.

The statement read:
“The Federal Civil Service Commission is receiving applications for various vacancies in the Federal Civil Service. The vacancy announcement is published on the commission’s website: www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng and national newspapers.

“Eligible applicants are to apply for only one position via the application link: https://recruitment.fedcivilservice.gov.ng.

“Applicants who are physically challenged should state the nature of their disability.”

Applicants are required to upload the following documents:

  • Curriculum vitae
  • Ph.D./Master’s degree certificate
  • Degree/HND/NCE certificate
  • WAEC/NECO/NABTEB certificate
  • Primary School Certificate
  • NYSC discharge/exemption/exclusion certificate
  • Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age
  • Local Government Identification
  • A recent passport photograph

The commission also emphasized that all applications must be submitted on or before Monday, March 10, 2025.
